Abby’s Day Out

June 5, 2016- What an incredible event Abby’s Day Out was! Thank you, Gerberg Family and your entire local community for showing up in a HUGE way for Smith-Magenis Syndrome!

“So close your eyes and imagine this… Your life gets rocked with a diagnosis that will change you forever. You wonder and watch for years what you can do. You get that child set up In a great school, find amazing doctors to help manage her, you meet wonderful families that become your soul sisters, and you realize you need to do more. So a group of amazing woman say we’ll help you. So you think let’s do a fundraiser to make some money to put toward research. So you think, first year I’ll plan on $10,000 and 75 walkers.

And POOF, you open your eyes…

And your standing in Caumsett State Park with 350 amazing people who are sharing in your victory and you’ve raised $40,000 to go directly toward helping your kid. Research for your child. And you wake up. And you realize you did it! We did it. So thank you. For making our dreams a reality, and making our lives better.”
